Psalm 139:13-16: For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I
praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that
full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was
woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained
for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be

What awesome truths are in the Word of God!
How special we are for Him to have personally created each and every one of us so uniquely!
We are custom-designed by The Renown Artist. The Creator of the Universe intricately made us; from each freckle He splashed to and fro to numbering the hairs on our heads Luke 12: 7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.! We are the Lord’s Masterpiece! Treat it well and be careful criticizing it !
Let’s be exceptionally cautious about our attitudes toward ourselves and others. Believe it or not, the children (regardless of age) ARE watching, listening and learning about how we accept ourselves and the way God designed us. It WILL have an impact on how they view themselves. This falls on our responsibility in the position of “teacher”. A sponge WILL absorb, what is spilling out from you?
A positive self-image? Healthy perspective on who you are in Christ? Personal loathing? Complaints that you are too tall or short? Critical about weight? Complexion? Intelligence? Skills and Ability? Education? Striving to be a better mother and wife? godliness? attempts at perfection and disgust at failure to accomplish that? In conversations with you Father this weekend, I encourage you to discuss that with Him and allow Him to speak to you about the difference between perception and Truth. May you, we, understand and accept ourselves and others!
Where in the Word was it mentioned that Jesus complained to His Father about not being the best looking man in the group? If only He had been more dynamic in appearance…Maybe a bright, white “Hollywood” smile, slicked back hair and expensive, tailored clothing.. Perhaps then He would have appealed to more people! He did not come to earth to impress upon the eyes, but hearts!
For He shall grow up before Him as a Tender Plant, and as a Root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him,there is no beauty that we should desire Him. Isaiah 53:2
PRAYER
Almighty Lord and King
Thank You for making us
All differently
Each person is so incredibly unique
Although we may be the same in many ways
There are specific distinctions You have given every one of us
Father, we just ask that You will instill an acceptance in the hearts and minds
Of each child represented here
That You, O God
Personally knit them together
In such a special way
And give them the confidence
To embrace the Work of Your hands
We know that until You come or call us Home
We will not be compete in You
We ask for inner beauty, Father
That we reflect You
As Your children, O God
We need NOT criticize ourselves or one another
In doing so, we insult Your creation
Please forgive us for ignoring the many
Blessings You bestow on us
Please open our eyes
Reveal that true beauty is in being who You, not the world, says we are!
May the reflection we cast
Be that of our Glorious and Stunning Lord!
In the Name of Jesus Christ,
AMEN
