DEVOTIONAL: Somewhere To Call Home..The Father’s Provision

DEVOTIONAL
Exodus 14:16

“As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.

Matthew 15:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 9:6-7 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house.

The Word of God is filled with His miracles. Some of His wonderful works are known, even by non-believers such as water into wine; others are more realized by believers, say the woman who touched the hem of His garment and was healed, for example.

From Creation to the Second Coming of Christ, there are so many times our Lord has done miraculous works. What miracles has He done in your life (Don’t forget to include the most substantial, Salvation!)?

Sometimes we do not recognize a miracle for what it is. We have three children and a granddaughter, so yes, I clearly saw 4 miracles there. For every ONE I acknowledge, there are countless He has done that I have not given thanks for, I am certain. It isn’t because I do not appreciate what He has done or is doing in my life. Is it because I am so blessed that I do not fully comprehend His miracles for what they are? I hope not, but I am afraid that may be the case.

Let’s take a closer look around us and be thankful for everything He has given, allowed and done for us, starting with His Son! What word, other than “miracle”. would you use to describe the incarnation, all God, all Man, the life, death and resurrection on our Savior?

We may set an even more sincere value on our appreciation if we saw things as miracles rather than coincidence, “good luck” or even worse, a product of OUR “good living”!

PRAYER

Beautiful Lord
Worker of mighty miracles
We give You thanks for all you do
Everything You Are

Precious God
You allow glimpses of Your power and authority
You work miracles in our lives and the lives of those around us

We have seen babies born
Healings
Restoration
The Lost, saved

Father God, we know that there are things only Your hand could have done!
We praise You for each and every miracle

Thank You that we can read in Your Word, time and time again where You displayed Your authority over all things!

Time after time where You give us evidence that You Alone ARE GOD
Among so many others, You healed, subdued the seas, resurrected the dead and saved souls from eternal damnation

We ask forgiveness when we do not see or recognize a miracle
Please open our hearts and minds to know
To realize
To appreciate Your greatness
Let us not contain this, O God
Let us spread the news of what
Our Lord can do!
Our Father, the Great I AM!

Through the blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ,
AMEN

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
