DEVOTIONAL: All Things Working Together For My Good, Believing WITHOUT Seeing

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [His] purpose.

Not the best couple of days. First, I lost something I really needed. Today brought more frustrating news I did not want to hear.

Texts and calls invaded the cell phone; one seemingly more aggravating than the previous. I finally got to a point that I dreaded the sound of the ringer or text notification. Although nothing was catastrophic, the events were upsetting, nonetheless.

My dear friends reminded me, in love, that God is in control. I am so blessed to have such wonderful, godly sisters in Christ!

As I spoke with the Lord about my issues, He also reminded me that He is in control and that He loves me.

I have to tell you honestly, I do not see how in the world these things are working for my “good”. I do, however, know I can stand confident in what the Word says!

Even if it is not in the manner I see as being beneficial, that is only because my view and understanding is limited to human comprehension.

If this is an opportunity for God to be glorified, let it be so. I want to mean this! I pray that our Merciful Lord will touch my spirit so I can genuinely say that I am believing Him in all circumstances. Let my life testify to His faithfulness and my trust in Him.

What wouldn’t we do for our child if he or she was having a difficult time, nothing, right? If we would do so for our own children, be certain that our Almighty God will pull us through adversity, stronger and better than we were on the front side of it!

PRAYER
Almighty and Gracious King
Thank You for loving us
We just come before You
Knowing that You love us, Father

Please let us know the concern and care
You have for each one of us
Who love You and are called according to Your purpose

You tell us that we can do all things through You
Majestic Shepherd
So we can endure
We can persevere, because You dwell within us

Please give peace to follow where You lead
Let us not look for an easy solution
Please let us wait on You if that is what we are called to do
If You need us to act, please show us
And give clarity

To You be the glory for protecting us
For being our Great Provider

We need You, O God
Let us be ever mindful of this
Whatever becomes of us
In the major areas of our lives
Even in the mundane
In the most minute details
You are there!
Always!
Forever You Are Faithful!

In the Name of Jesus,
AMEN

Songs
“Forever You Are Faithful”

“Blessed Be Your Name”

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
