1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
LITTLE SNIPPETS OF BLESSINGS & GOD’S PROMISES
God blesses so abundantly! Thusfar, I’ve held my newborn children and watched as they matured into precious young adults. There’s certainly no secret about the adoration I had for my darling mother, and how honored I was to be her baby. I’ve seen rainbows, even doubles, played in snow, splashed in rain puddles, bathed in the sunlight and jumped in piles of Fall leaves.
Today, Jonathan and I enjoyed an awesome Mexican potluck fellowship at home with small gathering of brothers and sisters in Christ. We are beyond amazed and hope to remain forever thankful for the ability to share our home with those we love so dearly. What a treasure it is to have friends to laugh and cry with, creating a lifetime full of cherished memories.
All glory being given to God Who allowed me to be raised by a Mom who encouraged a love for beautiful music. I was raised learning the old church hymnal songs, Christmas tunes she and I joyfully belted out in the bitter December air with our fellow carolers, Spanish-style music played at times on the “Lawrence Welk Show” she and I watched together, the military “theme” songs and so much more!
Headed toward the coastal areas, I love nothing more than dropping the convertible top so I can smell the salt air, get a panoramic view of the ocean and hear the fierce roar of the waters! How GREAT IS OUR GOD! To me, the beach is as close to Heaven on earth one can get! Our Lord makes Himself so real in the sights and sounds of His AWESOME POWER and MAJESTY!
This verse in I Corinthians is very thrilling! Just think of al the wonderful, wonderful things you have seen and experienced throughout your life, births of children and grandchildren, tiny seeds blooming into a gorgeous array of flowers, the beach, on and on it goes.
Having been so tremendously blessed in our lives, we can’t even comprehend enough to anticipate what a glorious future our Lord has planned for us! As I sit here, I am trying to recall the best thing I have ever seen or heard. If you are anything like me in this, you’ll come up with one thing and more and more come to mind. What I did NOT read in this Passage was anything in regard to human age, so just think again about your personal experiences, now consider someone one hundred years or older and that promise still applies! AMAZING!
Merciful Lord and Savior
Thank You for each and every blessing in our lives
Please let us recognize and appreciate every one of them
Abba, Father, You are so generous to us
To think of everything You do for us every day
And read Your promises of even greater reward
What we know of You already is greater than we are able to articulate with the simplicity of human language
And You are so much more than even that!
Thank You for the experiences You have given us
Please teach us how to turn every one of those back to You in praise
Every part of our life belong to You
From the greatest event to the most mundane of tasks
You are with us
Take our lives, O God and mold them into what You would have us to be
To do and say what honors You
Please give our heart’s desire over to obeying You
Thank You for Your promises
For times that being loved by You is the only thing giving us a reason to get up in the morning
And perhaps with that knowledge and assurance and faith, is the sole reason we are able to function during the day or rest at night
Be our All in All
Please be glorified in all we say and do!
In the Name of Your Son, Jesus
“Blessed Be Your Name” (Some may have read this before, I apologize for repeating. The Sunday we returned to South Carolina after my Mom’s “going home” service, we sang this at church. This just proved to me how near my Father is and how deeply He cares, how He proved Himself in a tangible way as evidence He was there for me in my darkest hours. PRAISE HIM!)
“In the Garden” (My Daddy’s favorite song & Mom loved Elvis’ singing. At 7 years old, one of the memories I had of Daddy’s “going home” service was this song, so it will forever have a special place in my heart.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NH_is7VuCI
