PSALM 32:11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Psalm 100:2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing.
I love it when church starts with singing! There have been many times I have piddled around at home and walked in just as announcements or the sermon started and even though the message was good, I still missed something.Praising the Lord in song, ushers my mind and heart into worship.
In earlier devotionals, I am quite sure, I have mentioned how singing songs to the Lord quiet even the most troubled spirit. It is amazing how even a desperate heart can go from crying out to the Father to singing of His greatness, love and mercy. It quietly escorts someone from a dark, lonesome place, right to the Throne of the King.
Regardless of finding understanding about our situation or the circumstances remaining the same for a season, through Him, we can find strength, willingness and courage to proclaim the mercies of our Great Jehovah!
How Sweet and Beautiful is our Lord to bless us with comfort only He can give! What a Gracious Savior we have to let us realize His presence, acknowledge and accept our recognition of Him, entering His Gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise!
PRAYER
Redeemer
Great Jehovah
Father God
The Great I Am
Please forgive us of our sins
Allow us, please, to lift up grateful voices
How we love to sing praises to Your Name
For eternity we will magnify You
For it would take as long to give You praise
You ALONE Are worthy of our thanks
Alone, You created us
You saved us, Lord
The Great Redeemer of the unworthy
Before the Father we stand cleansed
Through the Blood of the Risen Lamb!
Lord, You are so rich in mercy
You give joy to the hearts giving praise to You!
Please delight in our songs and hymns
O that You would smile, Father, at the sincerity of our praise!
In the Name of Jesus, the Risen Son of God,
AMEN
