Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present Help in trouble.

Earthly heroes remind us of what extreme our Savior went to rescue us ..

Nothing is too small or magnificent for our Heavenly Father!

Exodus 14:19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

Child-like Faith
We’re Never Too Old To Hold The Father’s Hand

I am the youngest of six, so by the time I was 10, it was just mom (who was a widow by then) and me in that big ole  100 year old house.  I remember when I played, running from room to room.  For some reason, going upstairs alone, prowling around in the empty bedrooms made me uneasy, so I would stop and ask Jesus if He would hold my hand as I approached the staircase.

To this day, I can recall the sense of peace, comfort and confidence that He was indeed right there, watching over and protecting me.

Whenever I face uncertainty, I pray the Lord will remind me of His faithfulness.

PRAYER

Praise You, Almighty God
For being Who You Are
Thank You, Our Father
For Your Protection

Lord, there are things we know and see that You have spared us from
But God, we have no idea how many things we are spared from constantly

You Are  our Shield
Our Fortress, Mighty King

In You Alone we put our trust
Because Only You are Worthy

As this world declines
We will stand firm
Because our hope and faith is in You

Our Rescue
Our Great Redeemer
Our Lord and Savior!

In the Name of Jesus
Amen

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
