Devotional~Birthdays~Giving Thanks For Another Year

Devotional

Acts 4:11-12 This is The Stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become The Head of the Corner.Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Revelation 22:13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Today as I celebrate my 49th birthday, I just want to give praise to the Lord each year He has given me so far and for whatever is to come.

Let me take this opportunity to give praise to my Redeemer and King for His Ultimate Sacrifice to give me salvation from my sins and the promise of life everlasting.

I thank Him for creating me as He did, knitting me together in my mother’s womb. I thank Him that even at almost 42, she and my father not only embraced and welcomed the newborn they planned to bring into this world.
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

The Lord blessed me with three beautiful children, one grandchild and another on the way.

I have been given family and friends I love dearly!

The Lord has moved me from place to place, proving Himself over and over in each triumph and trial I have faced.

Worthy is the Lamb Who has held my life in His hands and never let me out of His sight.  My blessings are beyond measure!

I pray in the days ahead, for whatever time I am allowed, I will learn to recognize each blessing, realize and celebrate victories He allows and depend on Him fully in times of trial.

My hope is. when others see me, they will know that I am a child of the Most High. I want my life to reflect a peace and trust in my Savior.  From my spirit, I pray, there will be such a serene joy and comfort the world cannot explain or understand.  Such a testimony is impossible outside of Jesus Christ the Lord!

Let nothing be said of me when  leave this earth but of the Power of Jesus Christ and HIs love, grace and mercy for this wretched sinner. That the spirit once inside of me was extended a pardon from eternity in hell through the blood of Jesus Christ, and has gone to join Him for eternity in His presence.

PRAYER
Lord God Almighty
We bring praise for Who You Are
You Are the Awesome King!

Hollow us, Lord
Rid us, please, of who we are
And fill us with who You want us to be

You give us the desires of our heart, God
May it be said of us that our desires are to love You and one another

Open our hearts to be loved by You, Father
We know Your love us Truth
Unlike the world
 Your love for us
It is without limit, immeasurable by any means

Mankind, either deliberately or just from the wickedness and conceit of the  heart
Sets conditions, through actions and reactions
How we will respond to others

Precious King
We foolishly set conditions in our behavior with You
Attempting to manipulate what we get, need or want

There are those who try to bargain with You for personal gain
Offering in response the CONSIDERATION  to be more obedient

A BARTER
As though exchange of Your blessings for honor and respect
You’ve proven worthy to deserve our obedience as reward is fair, just or reasonable

Please forgive us for failing to recognize Who You Are
And that we, the created, do NOT dictate to the Creator!

Lord, it is brazen and foolish for us to think we have any suggestions
Comments or contributions, worthy to direct the works of Your hands!

Jesus, all glory, praise and honor be to You in all things!
In Jesus Christ the Holy Lamb  of God, Who’s Name we pray
Amen

SONGS
These are some of Mom’s favorites.. It gives me chills to know that because she trusted in Jesus ALONE for her salvation, now gets to cling to the foot of the Throne and sing to Him directly, continually enjoying His presence and basking in His Glory).

HIS NAME IS WONDERFUL
There’s A Sweet, Sweet Spirit In This Place (

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
