Keeping In Pace With Our Father~Peace In Knowing He Is Always There

Philippians 2:13

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

I remember as a little girl, walking on curbs, spinning around, jumping up and running on retaining walls. Any activity I could find to practice my balancing skills (not a talent I perfected, to say the least!), I found it. I was as clumsy then as I am now, so I slipped and tripped, leading to many skinned knees, bottles of hydrogen peroxide, cotton balls, bandages and kisses.

Some of my most favorite memories are of my Daddy walking along side me as I jumped, ran and played. I was confident that if I started wobbling, he would be there to catch me and he was. No matter how far or fast I ran, when I needed him, he was right where I needed him. His hand clasped mine, as he eased me gently and lovingly, to where I was suppose to be. The tougher and more challenging the course was, the tighter I felt His grasp on me! Daddy was truly a remarkable example to me, because he demonstrated the love, protection and provision from a father to his child.

This is how I see our Heavenly Father, always there, right beside us. What an awesome and unique position we are in as His daughters! There could be no greater sense of security than putting our faith and trust in our God who never sleeps nor slumbers, but keeps His eyes upon us. He picks us up when we lag behind and slows us down when we attempt to “run ahead” of His will. Our God puts HIS impenetrable hedge of protection around us. He is our FORTRESS! There is no safer place to be than beneath the shadow of our Lord’s Wings!

Precious Lord
Thank You for this and every day we’ve been given

Thank You for always being there for us
And we can depend on You, Righteous King

You ALONE are God

We, as children jump and run through life
And You are right beside us
Forever faithful the Holy Spirit to guide us
Jesus to intercede on our behalf
The Word to teach us the Truth of Who You are
And the Father to protect and provide

How blessed we are that
There is nowhere we can be, away from You

Praise Your Holy Name!!
Through the Power of Jesus

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
