Prayer-Unlimited Access to The King of Glory Cost: Jesus-His Life Us-Free Debt: cancelled

Matthew 6:9-13

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, for ever.
 Amen.

Okay, I have had discussions with friends before about prayer.  One of the topics we covered went something like this: Since the Lord knows everything, He has determined from Beginning to End Isaiah 46:10-11 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. and God does not change Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed., why do we need to pray?

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:13
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:27-28

Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in Thy sight,
O Lord, my Strength, and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15

Throughout Scripture, the Lord shows us the importance of prayer. Yes, He IS The Alpha and Omega.  We were created for relationship with the Father.  He navigates us through the “who”, “what”, “when”, “where” and “how” questions about prayer.

Let’s take one second to consider how our lives would be different without prayer.  Doesn’t it make you shutter to think what you would have done in times of despair, joy, pain, suffering or anything for that matter?

Prayer is so important, as a matter of fact, we need to make sure never to casually tell someone “I’m praying for you”, only to forget.  Do it right then (and later is great, too).  Think about making a journal of prayer requests and answers, recalling and thanking Him for His faithfulness!

Father God
Thank You for this day
Please forgive our sins against You, others and ourselves
We give You praise for the Lord Jesus for shedding His Blood
To give us access to the Throne of the King
We bow our lives before You, Almighty God
And cry out “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY”
To the ONE and ONLY. AWESOME SAVIOR!
Thank You for prayer
For communication with The Mighty Creator
Through the Blood of the Lamb
All power and glory and honor to You! Now and forevermore!
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
