24/7 Access to the Lord, Don’t Waste This Gift!

1Thesselonians 5:17-18 Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Here are some points I would like us to consider today:

When we rise in the morning, do we thank the Lord for the day and our many blessings before we start a routine? How about pausing at breakfast, expressing gratitude for the meal, be it a mountain of food or a pop pastry and  soft drink?

Do we end a conversation “In Jesus’ Name”, or take for granted that it IS through His Blood and Name, we have been given privileged access to the Throne of God? Have we say the Name of Christ our Lord by habit, or actually consider the cost to Heaven, giving us the right to approach The Most High God?  If we acknowledged this each time we spoke the Beautiful Name above all names, Jesus, our attitude, our tone, our hearts certainly would be humbled and honored.

Are we seeking the Lord and speaking up when there are issues in our  lives  or of our friends, upheaval in the world that we see no resolve without God’s Divine Intervention?

Where are those very voices when things are going well?  Are sounds and songs of praise and glory, recognizing the Lord for His greatness in bringing about a joyful situation, filling the air, reaching the ears of  The Great Jehovah?

Far too often, our cries for help, forgiveness, mercy or grace are much louder than our shouts of triumph and thanksgiving to our Wonderful and Faithful Father.

Sometimes I talk to my family members or friends on the phone for a long time, then after hanging up, remember something I really wanted to tell them. Do I call them back and possibly get into another long conversation? Do I send a LONG text, without the voice inflexion or instant response?

With the Lord, I have the freedom to go to Him all day and night, all year, any day for the rest of my life! This reality is not only comforting, but exciting. Our Best Friend, our Savior, our King, is available for us any time, anywhere. The truth of this is so fantastic, it is hard to comprehend. Let our appreciation flow from our hearts, let’s acknowledge and celebrate our God!

Think about it, if not for Almighty God hearing our prayers, what refuge would we have?

Stay in prayer, stay in peace. Leave the chaos of this world to the world it belongs. Our Lord has overcome the world. Jesus reigns!

Father God
Thank You for another day
We give You praise for the life You’ve given us
Please forgive our sins against You, ourselves and others
Please show us how to use what we have to bless You
You are awesome, Lord
What a comfort to be called Children of the Most High
Please let our words and actions reflect Christ
You have given us eyes to see
Ears to hear and
A heart to recognize the Truth
Praise You, Holy and Almighty King!
You be all glory
In the Name of Jesus
Amen

About voicevessel bwc

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior. I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings. My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried. As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely. As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord. My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren. Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing. I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word. Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read. If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
