Genesis 9:1216 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations. -I do set My Bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth. And it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud; And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
Revelation 4:1-3 After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened in Heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a Throne was set in Heaven, and One sat on the Throne.
And He that sat was to look upon like jasper and sardine stone; and there was a rainbow about the Throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Yesterday, my husband and I were blessed to find this gorgeous treasure in the sky. We were in the grocery store parking lot and everyone outside with us, stopped to take a photo.
One lady and I chatted about how bold the colors were, and that neither of us had ever seen a rainbow so vivid.
In the second photo, you can see that there was a second rainbow right beside it, although it was not as bright, but still a lovely reminder of our Lord’s great and wonderful promises.

I know that I have been known to make promises to my kids, grandchildren, friends and any number of people. This is a habit I am trying to break. In all reality, God is the ONLY ONE capable of making a promise we know will be kept.
Even with the best intentions, far too often I find keeping my promises difficult, as I cannot guarantee my own next next breath, much less what I will do with it. A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9).
Sometimes, like the bold rainbow, we can clearly see God’s Work materialize. There are other times in our lives when our vision is so faint, it is harder to make out the fulfillment, maybe because things don’t look like we expected. There is one thing of which we can be confident, His Word is Truth, and what He tells us WILL come to pass, in the time, place and manner only He knows.
Only our Creator could decorate the skies as a reminder of His promise!
Almighty God
Thank You for this wonderful day
Please forgive our sins against You, others and ourselves
We thank You for the beautiful rainbow
The Heavenly colors
The gentle reminder of Your Promise
We give You all glory and honor
For sharing Your wondrous works
Allowing our human eyes to catch a glimpse
Of such a tremendous part of Your Creation
As the rainbow
Be praised, O God
Be thanked and may our appreciation be known
To You be the glory and honor forever and ever
Amen
