Daniel 2:21-22 And He changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the Light dwelleth with Him.
1 Timothy 2:1-2I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1 Samuel 24And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi.
Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats.
And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.
And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee.
Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe privily. And it came to pass afterward, that David’s heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul’s skirt.
And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.
So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself.
And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men’s words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt? Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the Lord had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the Lord’s anointed.
Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.
The Lord judge between me and thee, and the Lord avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.
As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.
And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept. And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. And thou hast shewed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the Lord had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not.
For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the Lord reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day.
And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand. Swear now therefore unto me by the Lord, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father’s house. And David sware unto Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men gat them up unto the hold.
Almighty and Gracious God
Thank You for another glorious day
Please draw our attention to You, that our actions, attitudes and words glorify our Father,
Not attack, mock or criticize others
Lord, we ask for wisdom when we go to vote
Thank You for the freedom we have to elect officials
You knew from before the foundation of this world You created, who win the election. You have the perfect plan for us, Lord
Please forgive us for being a country who kills her children and ignores You
A country whose people are consumed with themselves
Who indulge the created, yet dismiss the Creator
Let us fall on our faces as a nation and repent
We know there is no place or right to ask for You to bless America,
As so many have abandoned Christ and walked away, substituting Your Will with their own
And where has that gotten us, Lord
That which should bring us to repentance, instead is corrupted by indignation
There is a sense of entitlement When actually what we deserve is eternal damnation
But You came for us, Jesus,You came and died, rising again, that we can live forever with You.
So whatever happens with the Presidential race and the other political seats
Let Your people take heart and knowThat it is for our good and Your Glory
Please the peace we have that passes all human understanding, be evident in us
And serve as a testimony to our faith in You Who has promised to never leave us, nor forsake us
Every breath, brings us one step closer to You!
Praise the Name of Jesus

First, and most importantly, I love Jesus Christ and I trust in Him as my Lord and Savior.
I was raised in a Christian home by a godly dad and mom (who planned and had me in July before turning 42 in August), and 5 older siblings.
My father passed away when I was 7 and my mother (who went to be with the Lord in 2005 at 81) never remarried.
As a child, I was bullied at school, so I did not have many friends. I didn't want to tell my mom this because I knew she had enough worry being a widow at 50. I know what it is like to be lonely.
As an adult, God showed me the value of His Friendship and has blessed me, too, with rich relationships with dear friends who also love the Lord.
My husband and I (married 31 years as of 2020), have three wonderful, adult children and son-in-law as well as three darling grandchildren.
Along with many others, my husband lost his job, but we refuse to be fearful or angry. The Lord has provided for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity to express gratitude through personal contact and occasional memories I share through writing.
I believe the Lord has given me a venue to engage with others and a means to share His Word.
Thank you for checking out my page. I hope you enjoy what you read.
If there is anything positive or insightful in the devotionals (NOT CALLING MY WRITING "INSPIRED" by any means!), I give all credit and glory to Jesus Christ! On the other side of that, when something makes no sense, that's all me
